Session summary

Tension was rising on the 15th of March. Alexei Kiriloff, the Sheriff of Ostend, had invited all Kindred to come to his gym. His aim was to teach Bart Boucké, the Neonate that had ambushed him the month before, a lesson he would not forget. Since the Keeper of Elysium could not attend, Alexei had made the promise that anyone who would not respect his Gym, would be tought some respect. In the ring of course, it was free for all.

Not too much Kindred had responded to the Sheriff's invitation. Probably most of them were still not sure what was happening to the Prince, or the Domain for that matter. Nothing had been heard from the Prince since the last meeting and more and more Kindred were experiencing problems, which were now all being linked to a "Golden Key" organisation.

One such person was Werner, a Brujah who proved that there were still a lot of hidden Kindred in and around the Domain of Ostend. Werner barged into the gym searching for the person who was responsible for stealing his Haven. He demanded to see the Prince. Alexei immediately had a word with the clanmate who disturbed the peace and dared to claim that the Sheriff was doing a bad job. Meanwhile, a less conspicuous new Kindred had also entered Alexei's gym. Reita Nara was a silent individual, yet he stood out, walking around on his bare feet. The Toreador went around claiming he was a detective and true to the job, for most of the night, he just sat in a corner and observed the other Kindred.

When most Kindred had entered the gym, Seneshal Eldwin Falckeauge asked for everyone's attention. He told the Kindred that there had been no improvement for the Prince. He would take up any and all of her tasks until she recovered. Without a complaint, everyone accepted this and Werner took his grievances up with the Seneshal.

After the speech, Alexei did what he had promised to do. He took Bart up into the ring and showed the Neonate a thing or two about fighting. After the fight, a heavily beaten up Bart just sat silently in a corner, accepting the fate he had brought over himself.

Meanwhile, Mélanie and some other Kindred talked with the angry Werner about what had happened and not much later, it became clear that he too had suffered from the Golden Key organisation. Once things were cleared out, Jef Vandermeersch made sure there was peace between Werner and the other Ostend Kindred and offered his clanmate his Haven as temporary residence. Werner accepted this offer and left.

Afterwards, there was still a lot of chatter about what was going to happen to the Domain of Ostend. A number of threats were menacing the Domain that was now without a Prince. Everyone looked to the Seneshal for answers. Unfortunately, the Seneshal could not help them more tha, they could themselves and the message was clearly that the Kindred of Ostend had to stand together.

With this in mind, the Kindred left the gym again to go to their Haven and hope it would not be barred or destroyed in the mean time. One Brujah however did not go directly to his Haven. Bart Boucké was accompanied into the night by Willem Van Heyne.
